Adam + Emily; Media, PA; The Old Mill

Meet Adam + Emily – the bamboo forest, and the most ridiculously humid day of the entire year…

No really, I mean it was the most I’ve ever sweat in an afternoon – ever. EVER. But trust me, it was worth it.

Adam emailed me almost a year in advance of the wedding with less of a request and more of a proposal. Adam is an artist – a painter – and as we all know – artists tend not to make a ton of money (hence the whole “starving artist” thing). So being good stewards of their resources, Adam offered to exchange some of his work to offset the cost of the photography for their wedding. Since I am all for the barter system (see Cliff and Lynette’s Wedding blog), I thought, “Sweet!”. So we worked out the details and we put the date in our calendar.

In all seriousness it was an incredibly fun day – despite the humidity. Emily was one of the most beautiful and elegant brides I’ve gotten to photograph this year. The Old Mill had no shortage of some incredible scenery and lighting and the band at the reception was kickin! Such a fun wedding! Even though I didn’t get to shoot engagement photos with Adam and Emily, I definitely felt like they became close friends by the end of the day. Enjoy some of my favorite photos from their wedding.
