Nathan + Cailey; Brandywine Manor; Honeybrook, PA

This wedding was a looooong time coming. I met Nathan and Cailey back when I was first starting out as a photographer and I was shooting her cousin, Meg’s, wedding. I have since shot another cousin’s wedding in her family and now hers. Did I mention her other cousin, Lindsey, is marrying my brother this spring??? Suffice to say, I feel pretty close to the family by now and I am pretty confident they consider me the family photographer. I definitely feel it an honor…

It’s quite possible Cailey booked me for her wedding even before she was engaged – it wouldn’t surprise me if that was the case. She’s probably single-handedly referred more business to us than anyone we know yet and there are some serious contenders out there.

Without a doubt, we had a blast yesterday. The ceremony was personal and genuine and their reception – as always with their family – was an insane party. This was our first time at the Brandywine Manor in Honeybrook, PA and man is it beautiful out there. I really hope we get the opportunity to shoot there again, but only if it’s for another one of Cailey’s cousins.

There was a moment sometime yesterday between seeing the anticipation and excitement in Cailey’s eyes as she was getting ready, the sincere joy emanating from their smiles during their couple shots, or in the middle of Cailey’s rousing rendition of Man in the Mirror, that I was reminded why I love being a wedding photographer.

Thank you Cailey and Nathan for such a fun day, we were honored to be a part of it.

We were also joined yesterday by our good friend, Elizabeth Licitra, who has been shooting with us a lot lately. She has been a phenomenal assistant this year and her photography has blossomed an incredible amount. She is focusing her business on newborn photography, and if there’s anyone I would recommend who has an eye and skill for photographing kids and newborns – it’s Elizabeth. Check her out at www.ElizabethLicitraPhotgraphy.com . Oh and her husband, Brian, brews some of the best beer and makes some of the best gourmet pizza from scratch that I’ve EVER had. So it’d be to your advantage to befriend them! Lauren and I are spoiled to be their friends.
