I don’t know where exactly to start with Myron + Christine besides simply saying that I love this couple. I remember receiving an email from Christine back in the beginning of the year and after numerous emails she and Myron met with me in the Allentown area for coffee and to chat over wedding packages. I could tell immediately that they would be a fun couple to work with. I loved their attitudes about their wedding, their relationship, and what was ahead of them. I know I only meet clients for brief periods of time at these meetings but you really can read a lot from couples quickly.

After a couple more emails, I was so excited to hear that they had chosen me to capture their wedding day! Not only that but I got to do an immensely fun e-session with them in Manhattan (which ended up being one of the hottest days of the spring.) You can check out their e-session here.

Myron + Christine’s wedding day was as much fun as I had expected it would be and they were such an incredible couple to work with. These two are some of the kindest and most genuine people I’ve come across as clients and I was truly humbled and honored to be a part of their wedding day. Christine simply glowed all day with joy, and she had one of the most amazing wedding gowns I have seen to date. Myron, in his natural Myron fashion, wore a dashing smile on his face the entire day that just lit up everyone else around him – these two were SO excited for their wedding day and it was obvious to everyone present.

I had the privilege of having Erik Motta along as my second photographer for the day as well as intern Carli to assist. Thanks again for the amazing work, you two!

I love this couple. Mike + Kaitlin were one of those couples you just cherish as a photographer. What I think I appreciated about these two is something that you don’t find as often these days in relationships – gentleness. I don’t know how else to put it, quite frankly. Kind, gracious, and loving, yes, but incredibly graceful with one another. I loved how Mike and Kaitlin interacted together as a couple and just how much in love they are – it made photographing their engagement and wedding day so simple. Not only that, but this was a small bridal party with an intimately-sized guest-list and everyone made me feel like I was just another friend celebrating the day and not just a hired hand. These are two genuine individuals and I wish nothing but the bet for them.

I don’t normally get so much time to spend with a couple and their bridal party in between the ceremony and reception but it made for the perfect relaxed atmosphere to shoot in. Intern Carli and I had a great time at this wedding and truly can’t say enough good about these two.

One of my favorite things about this stage of life is getting to see the friends that I’ve grown closest to experience real joy and real happiness. There’s nothing like it. Getting to see them smile in a way that they never will again on one of the happiest days of their lives is incredible. The day that Lauren and I married was one of the most important and joyful days of my life, getting to witness that day for people I love and care about is a privilege, and getting to capture those moments for them is an even greater honor. Here’s to two very special people to us: Nate & Daphne. I could share a novel about these two and their story, but I think I’ll just leave it at this. Nate, I’m so glad you finally have your Daphne and I hope the melodies never grow old for you two. You are wonderful people, the kindest and most genuine of friends, and no matter how much time passes between our visits you will always be important to us. I hope you guys enjoy your wedding photos. Thank you again for the privilege of capturing your wedding day.

I believe I said this in their engagement blog post but I’m going to re-iterate this here: Mike + Anna love laughing together – they are truly best friends. If you catch Mike when he’s around Anna you’ll notice a specific look on his face – it’s called adoration. This guy is in love with his bride and these two are MEANT for one another. It’s obvious just spending five minutes with them. I love their personalities individually and as a couple and I love that they interact like a couple in love, but also as two best friends.

Intern Carli and I had a great time shooting this wedding out in Rockwood which is close to Pittsburgh. It made for a lot of driving and a long day, but the venue was worth it. They wasted no amount of energy on decorations and details for their wedding day and everyone had such a great time.

This was the second wedding of a double-header weekend. I had shot the previous night in MD, made it to bed around 1am and was up at 6am to shoot this wedding in Lancaster. As mentioned in the previous blog, both brides were friends of mine in HS. I was honored that they chose me to shoot their wedding day and what was unique about the experience was that it was a morning wedding – something that is very rare for me to shoot. The Inn at Leola Village is a beautiful and surprisingly intimate location to shoot at considering where it is situated. They do a great job of making their grounds feel set apart from the surrounding community. It was a bit of a challenge doing photos this close to noon but thanks to some passing clouds and some tight framing and angles, we were able to get some great shots.

Congratulations Frank + Stacey and thank you again for choosing me to capture your wedding! You were both so easy and fun and to work with and it was truly an honor to be part of the day!

This wedding and the next were part of a double-header weekend for me. Friday night and Saturday morning weddings. As incredibly exhausting as the weekend was, it was so much fun because they were both for friends from high school. This was the Friday evening wedding in Havre de Grace, MD at Swan Harbor Farm where I had just recently shot another wedding. Not only was the location beautiful, but the bride was stunning…and Matt looked pretty good, too, I guess…  😉   Erin and I went to HS together and she was a year ahead of me. She is currently an art teacher in VA where she an Matt live and with such an artistic eye, I was honored and humbled that she and Matt chose me to capture their wedding day. The pressure was on!

Erin, Miss Creative Pants, made it easy for me, though, as the amount of time she clearly invested in the aesthetics of the day were evident everywhere you turned. All I had to do was point my camera and shoot . We were almost completely deterred by some serious storms, but in the end it all bypassed us and we had such a fun  (and dry) evening, capturing some of my favorite moments of the year so far.

Congrats to Matt + Erin! I’m so happy for you two and I was honored to be a part of your day.

What a day. I remember driving home from Maryland the night of this wedding thinking to myself, “wow, what a day.” I don’t normally have that reaction to a wedding day but this day was different – because it rained – and I don’t just mean that it rained. It was the kind of rain that could flood a small town and send it down river. But in all of it, at the exact moment we needed to be outside to take pictures with Greg, Emily, and their bridal party – the water stopped – just long enough for us to fully appreciate what Swan Harbor Farm had to offer as a beautiful and elegant backdrop to a wedding. Despite all the rain, we had the most perfect venues at the most perfect times to get all the shots we needed at all the right times. Emily was a stunning and graceful bride and it was obvious that Greg was in awe of his beautiful bride the entire day. I couldn’t have done the day without my good buddy, Amanda Kraft second shooting and … how do I put this thoughtfully … dealing with the groomsmen who were by far one of the toughest crowds of groomsmen I’ve yet to run into – I mean that in the nicest way possible haha. Amanda was a perfect fit for them – whatever they dished out, she dished right back. Thanks also to intern Carli for assisting on the day and getting thoroughly soaked helping us carry equipment all day. What a great wedding day in the end and I was so honored to be a part of it. Here’s some of my favorites from the day!

So excited to share Joe and Jess’s wedding with you – this one has been a long time coming! This is probably the biggest blog I’ve ever posted but that probably has to do something with the fact that this was the biggest wedding party I’ve ever worked with – ever. While the day hit a few scheduling snags – everything ended up perfect and we had a blast covering this wedding. Seriously could not have done it without the help of my good friends – Andres Valenzuela (second camera) & Eric Burkert (assist). Without these two dudes along for the ride I don’t think we would’ve covered the day as well as we ended up covering it with all the people, traveling, and logistics.

Loved the fun atmosphere of the day that was only added to by the number of people involved – between living room dance parties and trolley pit stops at the beer distributor – there were plenty of candid moments to capture on this wedding day. I hope you fall in love with Joe and Jess and all of their friends and family like we did. Here are some of our favorites from their day…

Meet Andy + Emily Steiner! So happy to post this blog as this was such a beautiful (slightly chilly) April wedding day! Only downside to the day was locking my keys in my car at the Masonic Homes at the first look – sometimes I’m truly an idiot – all I ask is for sympathy.
